How to

How do I translate a YouTube video into another language?

Paste the YouTube link (a video or a Short) into Presentr Analyze, choose Translate and the language. You get translated SRT and VTT subtitles timed to the video, which you can upload to YouTube Studio as a subtitle track, plus the transcript. Choose Dub to hear it in the other language as an MP3; upload the video file instead for a dubbed MP4.

Step by step
01
Paste the YouTube link
Videos, Shorts and past live streams, as long as they are public or unlisted.
02
Choose Translate (or Dub) and the language
61 languages for subtitles, 48 for a dub.
03
Download and upload the subtitles
In YouTube Studio, open Subtitles, add the language and upload the SRT file.
What it costs

2 credits a minute: 1 to transcribe and 1 to translate, the translation charged only when it is delivered. A dub adds 2 credits a minute.

Good to know
  • Private videos cannot be fetched.
  • From a link only the sound is kept, so a dub is an MP3. Upload the video file for a dubbed MP4.
  • The subtitles are a machine translation; check names and technical terms before publishing.
FAQ
Do I need to own the video?
