FAQ

Questions

What does it cost?

4 credits per minute of video: 1 to transcribe, 1 to translate and 2 to dub. The dub is charged only when it's delivered. Dubbing the same video again (after editing the translation, say) is charged again.

What happens to the music and sound in my video?

They stay, turned down under the new voice. The original speech is still faintly audible underneath; it isn't removed.

What if a translated line is longer than the original?

It can use the pause before the next line, then it's sped up slightly, never past about 1.3x. A line that still doesn't fit is cut short, and the run page tells you which, so you can shorten the translation and dub again.

Which voices are there?

Four natural AI voices that speak every language on the list, or your own voice in six of them.

Can it use my own voice?

Yes, for English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. Record or upload 10–30 seconds of yourself speaking (in Settings → Voices, or from the run page), confirm it's your voice or that you have the speaker's permission, and pick "Your voice" when you dub. A voice lasts 60 days, and you can delete it at any time. Other languages use our AI voices.

How long can the video be?

Up to 60 minutes per dub.
